Cherry Hill Haven creates the ideal environment for people with dementia. It begins with a shared desire to please God and take care of His people. From that, an environment of merriment and joy is naturally created by Cherry Hill’s caregivers, who recognize that dementia is a condition, it is not the person. Each resident’s needs vary, and their care is as individualized as their personalities. Constant throughout is each caregivers’ understanding, empathy, flexibility, and commitment to respond to each resident with a heart of service.
At Cherry Hill Haven, we strive to provide a comfortable and home-like setting for our residents, where their daily routines are predictable and secure. Each day our residents are met with the friendly voices and smiling faces of our staff, who provide constant and attentive care, praise, reassurance and communication throughout the day. All interactions are designed to make our residents feel accepted and loved. Asking their opinions, seeking their advice, providing cues and simple one-step-at-a-time instructions helps our residents to feel productive and successful.
